Mark Olson

CEO, Metabolic Response Modifiers (MRM) Nutrition

Growing up I was given plenty of nutritional advice from Mom, sports Coach’s and Healthfood store employee’s.  It wasn’t until my nutritional curiosity led me eventually to an undergrad degree in Dietetics and then Graduate School in “Clinical Nutrition”.  My grad school project led me to do research at Harbor/UCLA allowed me to further understand all variants of the “vegetarian” diet.  Collaborating with Loma Linda University, researching Seventh Day Adventist Diets have strict plant based restrictions compared to most “lacto/ovo/pesca” vegetarians of today.  As a formulator of protein supplements, deciding how to deliver a quality source of dietary protein is paramount.

A Look Inside the NASC Preferred Supplier Program: Overview, Benefits, Success Stories

Originally Streamed: Thursday, January 28, 2021

We know that now more than ever, consumers consider their pets members of the family and expect pet products to be as high in quality as the products they buy for themselves. There’s a demand for transparency and traceability in pet products like we’ve never seen, and manufacturers must take a proactive approach to supply chain verification.

This webinar looks at how the NASC Preferred Supplier program is helping pet supplement manufacturers achieve transparency and satisfy FSMA requirements by connecting NASC members to carefully vetted and qualified suppliers of the products and services they need to run their businesses. Presenters show how the program saves time and money, streamlines procurement and increases consumer confidence for the manufacturer, and exposes the supplier to a robust customer base.

Following the overview, a panel discussion dives into firsthand accounts of how the program is benefitting several current NASC Preferred Suppliers. Watch this session to learn how this program could be a success story for your business.
