Achieving sweetness naturally
Thursday, March 18, 2021
1-3pm ET
As consumers become more health-conscious, they are increasingly changing the way they eat and drink, often eschewing foods and beverages high in sugar and artificial sweeteners. However, launching or reformulating food and beverage products to appeal to these changing consumer dynamics requires more than simple sugar reduction. From formulation considerations to ingredient options, labeling and claims, selecting the right path can lead to market success. This session will cover:
- The latest data on consumers’ desire to reduce their consumption of sugar and artificial sweeteners, their reasons for doing so, and which kinds of natural sweeteners/solutions they prefer;
- Popular natural sweeteners, up-and-coming sugar alternatives, and the science behind using these ingredients;
- How CPG brands have formulated (or reformulated) their products to meet this demand.
